I started this because I had ideas and no way to build them.
The honest reason I kept stopping in the past was that tutorials teach you to follow instructions, not to make things. The moment I had to do something the tutorial didn’t cover, I was lost.
What changed was deciding to build something I actually wanted — Quest Grove — instead of building the tutorial project.
What has worked
- Building something real from the start, not practice projects
- Asking questions without shame, including to AI tools
- Writing down what I don’t understand, then looking it up
What is still hard
Reading error messages. Understanding why something works after it works. Knowing which thing to learn next.
